Fell's Point

Fell's Point

If you love historic architecture, a nautical back drop, fine dining and bar hopping, Fell's Point is a must see during your Baltimore trip. It is rumored to be the place where Edgar Allen Poe had his last drink.

You can get to Fell's Point pretty easily (and for free!) from the Convention Center using the Orange route of the Charm City Circulator. The Circulator will pick you up right outside the Convention Center and drop you off in the heart of Fell's Point (see map to the right). You can also take the water taxi, which will take you from the National Aquarium to Fell's Point. This is a slightly pricier option costing about $8 per ticket. I would also recommend visiting the aquarium if you have time. Tickets to the aquarium are half price every Friday after 5pm!

The Fell's point area is dotted with numerous cute and fun places to eat. Some of my favorites are Nanami sushi followed by ice-cream at Pitango’s, I would recommend the cardamom flavor here if they have it available. The Red Star Bar and Grill is a great place to sit back and relax with friends.

Modern Cook Shop has the best french toast I’ve eaten in the area (pictured below), it's called French Toast with Fruit Pebbles. I’m not into oysters but I’ve been told Thames Street Oysters has some of the best for the oyster-lovers out there.
