Keystone Symposium in Retina - Targeting Dry AMD: Pathophysiology and Emerging Therapies

Starts:  Sep 17, 2024 16:00 (PT)
Ends:  Sep 20, 2024 12:00 (PT)

Keystone Symposia will be holding the first-ever Keystone Symposium in the retina field in beautiful Asilomar Hotel and Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, CA (about 2 hrs. drive from the San Francisco Airport and 80 minutes from the San Jose Airport).

The focus will be on one of the most significant causes of blindness, dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD), including geographic atrophy and intermediate AMD.  The symposium will take a translational angle to this topic, and will bring together basic scientists, clinician-scientists, and drug-developers working in retinal disease to share data, perspectives, and innovations.

Check out the link to the tentative program at the Keystone Symposium site:

Targeting Dry Age-related Macular Degeneration: Pathophysiology and Emerging Therapies

The speakers involve a great cast that will bring varied perspectives on the topic (including Botund Roska, Emily Chew, Robyn Guymer, Goldis Malek, Imre Lengyel, Rob Mullins, Jim Handa, Florian Sennlaub, Anneke Den Hollander, Lukas Schreiber, and Val Canto-Soler).  The meeting will feature interactive panel discussions, workshops on topics from AMD models to career paths, a poster session, and social activities to enable fun and informal connections!   Scholarships for student and postdocs will be available through competitive applications.

Deadlines to put on the calendar are:

  •         Scholarship Deadline: June 18, 2024
  •         Abstract Deadline: June 18, 2024
  •         Early Registration Deadline: July 23, 2024
