I am an optometrist (licensed in the UK) with a PhD in vision rehabilitation research from Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland. I completed postdoctoral training in Eli Peli's lab at Schepens Eye Research Institute. I am currently Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School and Associate Scientist at Schepens Eye Research Institute of Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Boston, Massachusetts. I devote most of my time to research, including the supervision and mentoring of trainees within the research environment. Outside of work I enjoy Scottish Country Dancing and playing my flute.
