Bio

Following my optometry qualifications, I joined the Ocular Surface research group at the Singapore Eye Research Institute, under the supervision of Prof Louis Tong for 2 years. I then moved to Brisbane, Australia to pursue my PhD under the supervision of Prof Joanne Wood and Dr Alex Black, with a research focus on the effects of visual impairment, specifically from optical blur and glaucoma, on driving performance and eye movements.
I completed my PhD in 2017 and started my postdoctoral training with Prof David Mackey at the Lions Eye Institute, Perth, Australia. Here, I continued my glaucoma and myopia work, however, currently exploring the genetic and environmental factors of myopia- and glaucoma- associated parameters in young adults. I am additionally running the Western Australia Atropine for the Treatment of Myopia Study.
