Dr Maria Cabrera-Aguas is a Post-doc Research Associate in the Corneal Research Group at the University of Sydney-Save Sight Institute.
She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University in Colombia and a Master of International Public Health from UNSW and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Medicine from The University of Sydney. Her PhD thesis focused on the development, implementation and evaluation of a treatment guideline for herpes simplex keratitis at the Sydney Eye Hospital. Sydney Eye Hospital Foundation funded her research.
Her research interest focuses on corneal infections and ophthalmic public health
